BIO: Letter, received 4-4-1994, page 9, from John and Mary Pitzer says John and his wife Hester came from Poland and first settled inTrucker Co., (W) Va. Their name was originally Pilsner.

HERMSTAD record "PITZER of New Jersy, Virgina, Maryland, Ohio, & West, 1998" says John was son of John Pitzer (3682) and Elizabeth (3681). According to Census, they lived in Monongalia Co., VA, in 1830, inRandolph Co., in 1840, and in Barbour Co., in 1850. (Barbour County wasformed from Randolph Co. in 1843.) Children (speculative - from census): John M. Pitzer (3682)
