She was buried in the Westville Cemetery, New Durham Township, La
Portal County, IN.

Marriage:
Barak and Phoebe first met when she was only 11 years old. Phoebe's
parents had moved to Licking County, OH. Unable to forget littlePhoebe, Barak traced the Wards to Licking County and finally marriedher on 1 June, 1809. They returned to Athens County, where theyresided until 1835, then they journeyed overland to Porter County,IN., where they resided until death.

    Russell, b. 23 Dec., 1811, at Athens. He m. 26 Dec., 1857, Emeline James. They were living at Calumet, IA., in 1859, and was a farmer,county commissioner, and justice of the peace, and they had twochildren: 1. Phebe Jane; 2. Helena.
    Edward, b. 6 April, 1816, at Athens. He m. 4 June, 1846, Eliza Bull; and in 1858 they were living at or near Fillmore, IA., and had fourchildren: 1. Ophelia 2. John 3. William 4. Ella.
    John S., b. 5 Nov., 1824, at Athens, d. 26 July, 1825.
