    Matthew b. 4 June, 1783, at Lyme. He m. 18 Sept., 1806, Lois Hall, daughter of Deacon Abel Hall and Caroline Brockway of Lyme. He was ashipmaster and a farmer. They settled at Lyme and removed toBloomfield, NY. He d. 19 Feb., 1829, in the city of New York, and shed. 12 Dec., 1832, at Lyme. They had six children, born at Lyme: 1.Phebe Dorr, b. 1 Oct., 1809, living at west Bloomfield in 1858, unm.2. Mary Haines, b. 26 June, 1811, m. Nov., 1840, Joel Miner, a farmerof Lyme, where they were living in 1858. 3. Lucy Burnham, b. 11Jan., 1814, m. 26 July, 1843, Randall Drake of Albion, Mich., wherethey were living in 1858, and had four children. 4. Lois Catherine,b. 2 Nov., 1816, m. 4 May, 1837, at East Bloomfield, Lora Whittemore,and they were living in Michigan in 1858 and had one child. 5.Hannah Hall, 13 March, 1820, m. 2 Nov., 1840, George Ingersoll, andsettled at Marshall, Mich., where she d. 14 April, 1844.
