!On July 29, 1795 John purchased 100 acres on Paint Lick Creek in Madison
County, KY from George Smith. (bk C-pg 516 MCO). On 4 April 1797 he
purchased 70 acres on Paint Lick Creek in Madison County, KY from John
Archer. (bk D-pg 516 MCO). On 1797 Tax List John had 170 acres on Paint
Lick Creek in Madison Co Kentucky and 4 Horses. On Tax list of 1804 he had
260 acres ob Back Creek, 200 acres on White Oak, 200 acres At
Cumberland. On 1805 list 200 acres in Garrard, 400 Plusk, 200 acres Fork
Creek. iHe received a grant for two 200 acre tracts 28 August 1805, and
21 September 1809 in Pulaski County, KY. In 1843 the 16 slaves of John
were divided at a value of $4,225.00. He accumulated several hundred
acres of land. He had about 550 acres in Garrard, County, 200 acres in
Madison, county, 500 acres in Washington, County and 400 acres in Paluski,
County.
