Individual:
!Reuben came to Kentucky sometime in or before 1782 with his family.

on page 25 in Forest Calico's book History of Garrard County and its
Churches James Smith states he traveled from Downings to Whitley's in
1782 and this trace struck Boones Creek where Reubin Arnold now lives. On
15 Sept 1789 when Francis Hopkins oversaw a road from Gilberts
Creek to the Reuben ARNOLD Plantation (bk 3, 415). On 16 Mar 1790 the
overseer was fined for not keeping the road repaired to Reuben ARNOLD'S
shop (bk 3, 453). On 21 Apr 1790 William MILLER sold Reuben122 acres
on what is now Lexington Road (bk 3, 477). This property was probley
purchased several years earlyer by a bond for deed which was the custom
at that time., his name appeared on several documents as a witness to
appriase property or to view roads.
On 1797 Tax List Reuben had 125 acres on Boons Creek Garrard Co, 2
blacks and 5 horses. Was first buried on his farm on Lexington Reoad 1
mile north of Lancaster, later move to section 13 Lancaster Cemetery by
the William Adams Arnold family.
