Individual:


He and his family moved about 1890 in a covered wagon from Alabama to Navarro County, Texas (close to Corsicana).

They were mostly farmers, all loved music and played instruments. John Prestly Heaton taught music voice and passed his love of music tohis family.

In 1912 Lewis, his wife Georgia Ann, and sons William Henry (and family) and John Prestly Heaton moved from Navarro County to a farm inthe Red Bluff Community area of Jackson County, Texas.

In 1919, John Prestly bought a farm 5 miles north of Vanderbilt in Jackson County, Texas.

Cause of death: Cerebral Apoplexa
