Flavius MAXIMUS was the first British Born Emperor of Rome. He married a Welsh Princess and his descendants are related and entwined with the Royalty of British and European nations. One of my distant CASEBY American relatives (Daniel Edward (Deke) KEASBY).supplied the information in this file. One of his relatives named Henry Griffiths KEASBEY spent time in Europe and England in the 1920 and 30's and commissioned expensive professional research into his family tree. The result was a mass of documents which I am now trying to understand and publish in the hope of finding supporting or corrective evidence. My initial opinion of the entire collection is that it appears to show a connection through the GRIFFITH part of Henry's full name - but not to the KEASBEY (or CASEBY) part of it. That GRIFFITH ancient connection to MAXIMUS and the Welsh Irish and Scottish Kings also would appear to be through the Scandanavian surname AERTSEN on the KEASBEY maternal line, i.e. through marriage.
