Individual:
She came to America on the "Swan" August 1610. She was 9 or 10 at the time.
Her husband, Mr. Jordan, died March 1623. They had three children all of whom
were born in America: Mary Jordan, 3, Margrett Jordan, 1, and Temperance
Baley, 7.
It is said that the preacher who preached Mr. Jordan's funeral wooed Mrs.
Jordan and she promised to marry him but the preacher bragged about it too soon
and she refused to marry him and the preacher filed the first breach of promise
suit in America.
