Source Text: Philip Joseph Pitzenberger, 90, of Ravenwood, Mo., formerly
of Rockwell, died Tuesday (May 14, 1996) at his home after a
brief illness.
Philip Pitzenberger was born May 2, 1906, in Rockwell, Iowa,
a son of Philip and Zita (Huinker) Pitzenberger.
He attended Sacred Heart Academy in Rockwell.
He married Clara Helen Lorenzen on May 5, 1930. They farmed
in the Rockwell-Sheffield area until 1949, when they moved to
Ravenwood, Mo., where he continued farming until retirement.
Survivors include four daughters, Delores Slagle and her husband,
George, of Des Moines, Marlene Miller and her husband, Byron,
of Ravenwood, Mo., Virginia Frear and her husband, Eugene, of
Maryville, Mo., and Karen Hanson and her husband, Lee, of Fairfax,
Mo.; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four brothers,
Amandus of Seneca, Mo., Cletus and his wife, Helen, of Ravenwood,
Mo., John and his wife, Dorothy, of Springdale, Ark., and Richard
and his wife, Virginia, of Rockwell; and numerous nieces and
nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Clara, in
1994; an infant son, Clarence; a daughter, Phyllis; and two brothers.
