This Simon Neufeld (c.1800-____) fathered an illigitimate son with Magdalena Wien. About 3 weeks after the birth of the child, Simon and Magdalena married. Although the child was baptized as "Peter Wien", hhe was subsequently known as Peter Neufeld.
In 1824, this Simon Neufeld (c.1800-____) served as godfather for his nephew and namesake, Simon Neufeld (1824-1881), the imigrant.
