From History of the Wheeler Family: Ella's birthdate is given as Dec. 6, 1863, but I believe 1862 is correct, since the family bible gives this date.

MRS. ELLA M. STRONG
Services in memory of Mrs. Ella M. Strong, 6 Pennsylvania Avenue, West,
were held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon from the Templeton Funeral
Home, with the Re. Harold Knappenberger, pastor of Grace me thodist
church officiating. Interment followed in the family plot in Pine Grove
cemetery at Russell with the following serving as bearers : Maynard
Wheeler, William Weyer, Howard Patterson, Wendall Strong, Oscar Strong
and Walter Thompson. Attending the services from away were Mr. and Mrs.
Clyde Wheeler, Mr. and Mrs. Maynard Wheeler and family, Mr. and Mrs.
William Weyer, Buffalo, NY.; Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Strong, Mr. and Mrs.
Nichols Hunter, Mr. and Mrs. James Cameron, Mr. and Mrs. Ho ward
Patterson, Wendall Strong, Jamestown, NY.; Mr and Mrs. Glen Strong,
Hiram, O.; Oscar Strong, Eric; Mrs. Mark Orton, Mrs. Edith Earl, North
East; also many other relatives from Sugar Grove, Lander, Russell,
Chanders Valley and Corry.
MRS. ELLA M. STRONG
Mrs. Ella M. Strong, widow of Layton Strong, passed away at their home,
6 Pennsylvania Avenue, West at 6:15 PM Tuesday, following a very brief
illness. She was born in Lander on December 6, 1862, and had resided in
this vicinity all her life. She was a member of Grace Methodist church
and of the Goodwill Bible class of that parish. Surviving her are three
sons: Walter W., this city; Elmer M., Jamestown, NY., and one daughter
Mrs. Carrie M. Patchen, this city; also one brother, Clyde C. Wheeler,
Pittsburgh: eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren, several
nieces and nephews. Removal has been made to the Templeton Funeral
Home, where friends will be received at the usual hours after 7 o'clock
this evening and from where services in her memory will be held at 2 PM
Saturday. Rev. Harold Knappenberger, pastor of Grace Methodist church,
will officiate and internment will follow in Pine Grove cemetery at
Russell.
