She is listed as a daughter of Henrietta, living in Marietta, 26 Sep 1906 when
her mother's estate was probated. The city of her birth was shown as
Marietta on the death record of her son Charles Enoch Hildebrand, but was
shown as Cow Run in her own death certificate.

In the matter of Ann HILDEBRAND, wife of W. W.
HILDEBRAND, Co. A 148 OVI Personally came before me a Notary Public in and
for aforesaid county and State Henrietta DYE aged 73 years citizen of Hills,
County of Washington, State of Ohio, well known to me to be reputable and
entitled to credit, and who being duly sworn, declares in relation to
aforesaid case as follows:
That Ann HILDEBRAND is affiant's daughter and she therefore knows
that she had never been previously married. Affiant lived in same neighborhood with soldier's first wife Hulda O'Neal and was acquaintedwith both and knows that soldier had not been married but once prior tohis marriage to her daughter. Affiant being opposed to the marriage theywere not married at his house-- after the first year he never fullyprovided for the family. For the past ten years he has not supportedthe family, except what he may have done for the daughter, Phoebe E.HILDEBRAND.
When the high water of 1898 was coming up, HILDEBRAND took his dog,
his gun, and his fiddle and said he hoped they would all drown. Ann
Hildebrand, the claimant has taken in washing for years to support the family,
They have never lived together since he deserted the family. My daughter is
now supporting herself by taking in washings, and has no property of any kind
whatsoever except a small household goods--and is [looks like a Latin phrase] They were never divorced [note that the divorce occurredsubsequent to this
affidavit.]
