Judge Caleb mentioned this 4 acre lot set aside for family burials in his will.
My will is concerning the small lot of said excepted in the gift I devise to my son Thomas Aldrich that the same be & it is hereby reserved and given for a burial ground for myself, my children after me to them & their heirs forever to be used as a burial ground. But for no other purpose whatever said lot is bounded as follows, begining at a pitch pine tree standing on the southerly side of the highway leading from Worcester to Providence and beng a bound of Peleg Arnold;s land and of said road thence W 20 degree south 18 rods, adjoining said Peleg's land to a pitch pine tree marked with stones about it thence S. 20 degrees E. 4 rods to a white pine tree marked with stones about in then E 20 degree N 6 rods to a stake and stones; thence N. 20 degree W. 3 rods to a stake & stones thence E. 20 degrees N. to a small black oak tree standing by the said of said road and one arod southerly from the first mentioned bound thence to said bound, the same being reserved and given for the purpose aforesaid.
Item. I hereby give and bequeath to my executor hereinafter named the sum of fifty dollars to enable him to fence said lot and keep it in repair which hereby enjoins on hm to perform."
