David Bishop and Elizabeth Wolford
This is only a few of the known descendants of David Bishop and his wife Elizabeth Wolford. David was the son of Hans Johannnes Bischoff and his second wife, Ruth Elkins. Hans Johannes was better known as John Bishop. David's family started out in Tazewell, Montgomery, and Russell Counties in Virginia, then later migrated into Lawrence County, Kentucky where he and his wife are now buried. His family spread out into McDowell and Wyoming Counties in West Virginia, and a great deal of his descendants also remained in Lawrence County, Kentucky. David's step-sister, Rachel Rebecca Skaggs Bishop Lester, also has hundreds of descendants in these parts. I hope this file is of use to other researchers, and additions and corrections are always welcomed, feel free to write.
