| William E. Bishop Sr. of Pike County Ky |
This is the family of William E. Bishop Sr and his wife Mary Polly Justice of Pike County, Kentucky. They settled on Lick Creek in the early 1800's, and remained there until their deaths in the 1890's. A large portion of their descendants never left the area. My husband's line, that of Miles Bishop, did migrate north into Morgan County, Kentucky, and from there, spread out all over the United States. I have documented as much of them as I can at this time. I have another file up on GenCircles, titled Miles Bishop and Nancy Jane Matney, that has all the latest research on Miles and Nancy's children exclusively. I also have seperate files up as well on most of the children of this William E. Bishop Sr.- just a way of getting the data out there even more. I hope this work does some good for those fellow researchers out there working these hard to track down lines in some cases. If you have additions, or corrections, please, feel free to write, these are always welcomed.
