Emigration: 1729

Individual:
"John Chambers, of Trenton NJ, born 1677, left Scotland during the latter part of the 17th century and settled in county Antrim, Ireland; from thence he immigrated to America and settled in Trenton NJ, 1729. He has a son, Alexander, a man of considerable prominence and a commissionary of the Revolution. "
Genealogical Guide to Early Settlers of America

John was a member of Clan Cameron. They supported the Stuarts in their failed bid for the English Crown. 1689 marked the Revolution against James VII. This prompted many to leave Scotland and may be why John left at the time he did.
