Now to the will.....the 12th day of Mar 1787 I David Chambers of the twp of Hopewell in the county of Washington in the state of Penn.....To my dear and loving wife Sarah three hundred pounds....I give to my dear son Joseph.....beloved son John.....beloved daughter Mary......beloved son Samuel all my lands in the Ohio County in the state of Virginia 200 A lying on the waters of Short Creek with my Grist mill etc. "remainder to be paid out for the education and support of my five youngest children for the term of 10 years after this date; also mentions son Benjamin, Margaret, Marey
It seems that Samuel, Benjamin, Marey and Margaret were all underage at the time the will was written. Maybe another one, the way it is written, but can't figure who....apparently there was also a David (see below)
Sarah's will (1814)mentions son Samuel, son David, dau Mary Skinner, niece Sarah Patterson, daug of my dau Margaret Patterson (actually gr dau rather than niece I would say) John and Joseph "sons of my late husband" She does not mention Benjamin.
They lived in the part of Virginia that became West Virginia.
