Lawrence Wood moved to Hamilton county,Fl. area sometimes around 1856?.He served in the Confederate army enlisting at ST MARKS FL> on Sept. 1,1862
he was captured Feb. 7,1865 at Hatchers run,Va. he took the obligatory oath of allegiance to the US on Feb. 12,1865 and was given transportation to Jacksonville ,Fl.he was age 45 at this time.
He was baptised at the Methodist Church in Jasper ,Fl. he is listed there as a lay preacher and he also served as a county commisioner and school board supt.
