Text:
John was a blacksmith and machinist . He carried on the foundry at Rising Sun, Maryland.
In the 1850 census John and His sister Matilda I. Bowden was living with Grandparents in Little Britain Twp in Lancaster Pa. It said that they were born in Pa. I'm still looking for verification were they were born. The grandparents were John Townsend and Matilda Paxson Townsend.
John Townsend Bowden died from injurys from a fire at the foundry 4-12-1873 John Townsend Bowden was born in Pa. was found in 1870 census Cecil Co. Md.
