| Ralph Cleo Jack Quick |
According to his wife, when this man was nine months old his mother gave him away to a man and woman who had no children. The man and woman were 30 and 40 years old. The last name of that couple was PARSONS. Therefore, when Jack was young, he was using the name "Ralph Jack PARSONS." His natural mother was not married when he was born; her last name was QUICK. Apparently there will be records for him under both PARSONS and QUICK. On his World War I Draft Registration Card, he is listed as Ralph Cleo QUICK, living in Collison, Vermilion Co., Illinois, with nearest relative Lucy May QUICK. Card is dated Sept. 12, 1918. In other words, by then he was using the last name QUICK. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
