Regiment of Militia in the Revolutionary War, on an expedit ion
to Bennington &c, in 1777, with Caleb Owen, whose grandson,
Ethan Owen married his granddaughter, Nancy Anna. Family moved to Keene, New Hampshire, later to Walpole, NH, and
finally to Maidstone, Vermont. A note from the journal of Abner
Sanger of Keene, NH :" February 7, 1779. Sunday. Morning cloudy
and some snow. Blows off fair. The snow is more than ankle
deep, very nice sledding snow on hard ice. This day John French
of Gilhall at the Upper Coos and his wife are at Meeting in
Keene."
