Text: 1900 Spartanburg, SC census lists birth as July, 1880
From Spartanburg, SC Herald Journal:
Mrs. Willie Mae Seay, 79, widow of Roland Seay of Route 2, died Monday morning in Mary Black Hospital. A member of Sloans Grove Baptist Church, she was a life-long resident of Spartanburg County.
Surviving are: six sons, Paul Seay of Spartanburg Route 1, Jim Seay of Wilmington, NC, Bill Seay of Spartanburg, Route 1, Kie Seay of Converse, Riley Seay of Spartanburg Route 2, Joe Seay of Spartanburg; 3 daughters: Mrs. Dora Smith of Valley Falls, Mrs. Jim Martin and Mrs. Cora Arthur, both of Spartanburg; two sisters, Mrs Cleo Alexander of Spartanburg, Mrs. B. R. Jackson of Spartanburg, Route 1; two brothers, Omah Harrill of Inman, Jim Harrill of Sayrebill, NJ; 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 4:30 P.M. at Sloans Grove Baptist Church by the Revs. Tommie Sawyer and Lawrence Coggins. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Grandsons will be pallbearers. The body will be at the home of Riley Seay, near Clifton after 11 A.M. today. It will be taken to the church Wednesday at 3 P.M. M. W. Bobo Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
