Text: From Pamela Adair Dean: yesterday I found Marion A was in the Civil War
and that he lived in Landrum so I'll go there next. Maybe Benjamin is
there.
From Pamela Adair Dean:
I found some more "stuff" on Saturday. Marion A, died April 7, 1922 and is
buried at Oakwood Cemetery, Spartanburg, with no marker. I can't believe
it. His wife is there Martha J, b. March 17, 1851, d. April 26, 1918, wife
of M.A. Adair. I'm going to check the property purchases for Oakwood and
with Floyd's mortuary to make sure he's beside her without a marker.
Marion A was in Company A, 1st Regiment of SC. Confederate Soldier.
