ADAIR, RUBY FOWLER Cowpens, w/o Manciel C. Adair, Sr., 11–16–84 A8
COWPENS -- Ruby Fowler Adair of Washington Road, widow of Manciel C. Adair Sr. died Thursday in Spartanburg General Hospital. Native of Spartanburg County: daughter of the late Ferdinan and Lola Fowler Fowler; member of Peach Valley Baptist Church; retired Clifton Manufacturing Company. Surviving: sons, Manciel Adair, Jr. of Charleston, Bennie Adair of Atlanta; stepdaughter, Victoria Phillips of Spartanburg, Billie Brown and Nellie Allen of Cowpens, Ruth Burch of Converse; brothers, George Fowler of Spartanburg, Jack and Art Fowler of Converse; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Services 2 Saturday at Peach Valley Baptist Church by the Revs. George Holland, Ronnell Owensby; burial in Sunset Memorial Park. Pallbearers: John, Ray and Johnny Fowler, Eddie and Wayne Gilbert, Danny Willis. Family will receive friends 7-9 tonight at J. F. Floyd Mortuary, Greenlawn Chapel. Body in church at 1 Sunday.
