Several years ago, my grandmother gave me notebooks filled with genealogical information on her family. She wanted me to continue the work she had started, and gave me the incredible job of family historian. In over 25 years of research, she never had the luxury of a computer, and to this day has never used one. But she continues to be intrigued by the information I am gathering, and the files just continue to grow! I have expanded my research to cover her family and my grandfather's family, as well as many other branches on my mother's side and beyond... Some of the family names I am researching include: Hasty, Carroll, West, Kershaw, Roscoe, Peavy, Saunders, Carper, Hurst, Loy, Sharp and Smith. These families are found in almost every state east of the Mississippi River and many of them migrated west. All information is subject to change,of course, so if you have corrections or additional information on these families, please let me know.
