Notes
Individual:
A member of the wagon train crossing the Prairie in 1888 from Hartville, Missou ri to Boise, Idaho. Her future husband, John Westley Fincher, was also a memb er of this wagon train. Married to Susan L. Emmerson (known asTenny) at the t ime, with 3 children, Owen, Elvira, and Ada also on the train. Susan was Mary Emaline's aunt. Source: Amanda Emmerson, half sister to Mary Emaline, as re counted in the story she told to reporter, Rosella Moon, of the "Statewide" pa per,and published in the Thursday, May 8, 1950 issue. Amanda was living in St ar, Idaho at the time. (1950) I believe it is a Boise, Idaho paper. The Ada Fincher family believe she was born in Newburg or Compton, Missouri. She is b uried at the Riverside Cemetery, Payette, Idaho.
