Individual:
1880 Nevada Co., AR census lists occupation as farmer. It also shows Bud as a two year old child on 10 June 1880. It shows no other siblings at that time. John and Mary came to the Boise Valley in 1895, after marrying in La Grande, Oregon. In the Boise Valley area, they lived in Sweet, Dry Buck (NW of Emmett (, Payette and Boise. John was a carpenter and farmer. An old family story re lates a time when John was coming from back east, probably Missouri, to Idaho. The party ran into a bunch of Indians at Kings Corner, Idaho. Apparently fi ghting broke out and all the Indians were killed. There is a big rock, called "Massacre Rock" which has the names of all the men that killed the Indians wr itten on it. This is on the old highway, down by Twin Falls, Idaho. Source: Fern Fincher Paananen, Melba, Idaho, granddaughter to John Wesley.
