I am looking for information on Patrick Blide (possibly spelled Blyde). 1850 census in Kinderhook, Columbia, New York shows him, his wife, and 9 children living in the same household. Census shows him being 39 in 1950 so that puts his birthdate about 1811 and his wife Mary was 38 born about 1812. Their children are Margaret (16) Margaret (15) Daniel (13) Eliza (12) John (10) Patrick (10) all born in Ireland. The rest were born in New York, William (6) Mary J (4) and Michael (2). With the some of the children being born in Ireland and some in New York. I figure he came to the United States somewhere around 1840-1842. I figure is was somewhere after 1840 because he is no where to be found in the 1840 census. I cannot find him listed anywhere on passenger records coming into New York. If anyone has any information on him coming into the USA or departing from Ireland. Even before leaving Ireland. Any info would be greatly appreciated because he has been my brick wall for quite some time now. I cannot find any information for the part of his life when he was living in Ireland.
