hi im trying to research into my grandfather history on his birth certificate it spelt reginald mayne born 16/11/1925 in bristol uk he used reginald maine.
its belived that his mother was lilian mayne or sheppard spelt mayne on my grandfather birth certificate.
he was placed in to the salvation army adoption centre on 20/12/1925.
also had to brothers 1 named gordon sheppard who married gillian williams.
my grandfather married freda blake 1951.
but not much is known before this time .
so if there is any one out there that may be able to help id be very greatful
