I am researching my clan , the Schmidt's ( noted, Stefen Schmidt born 1861,) and Tchida , Elizabeth Tchida born 1886 , they immigrated to South Dakota , in 1886, and moved to Canada /Alberta in 1910.
My problem is trying to locate any parents or siblings.
Elizabeth was born in Illmitz, Burgenland , and Stefen in Vienna ( no idea as to what area)
