Is there anyone out there that is related to Joesph Peter Fitzen? He was born in Austria/Hungry or depending on boundry changes after and during the war, Germany. He and his sister Mary came over to the states when he was 8 years old, without their parents, but with another family. They lived in the East for a time, then Joseph moved to Idaho, where he was married 3 times and had 5 children. He died in 1959, in Pocatello, Idaho.

From talking to David Lamaar Jordan, my grandfathers brother, the story is that Joseph's father died when he was young, obviously very young, and his mother lived in Servitude in (above) and saved all of her money to send her children to America so that when she died, they would not live in servitude themselves. They escaped following a rail road, and somehow made it over here. Fitzen was not their name, but was changed to such while on the railroad. Possible to hide the fact they were Jewish.
