I am searching for addresses of Genealogy and Historical Societies in Preston County which may want information concerning my new book: The Descendants of the Drummer Boy: Edward Evans of Va

I would like to send brochures out to societies who might be interested in learning about the young man, Edward Evans who fought at Fort Necessity in the Army of General George Washington........from SCOTLAND and not Wales, as the stories of my childhood were told!

His descendants founded Evansville, in Preston County.

Family members may want to know that,after publication and delivery of the book, I have found the Evans family members who went on to Iowa. I am in correspondence with them. They are descendants of the Hugh Evans family formerly of Evansville and later Pruntytown, WV.Only one son, Hugh, remained back in WV.
