QUINLAND - Jimmy R. Lerzo, 78, of Quinland, died Thursday, Dec. 16, 2004, at CAMC Memorial Hospital, Charleston, after a long illness.

Born June 11, 1926, in Kentucky, he was the son of the late Domenick and Amelia Denzo Larzo. Mr. Lerzo was also preceded in death by two daughters, Betty Jane and Donna Jean Lerzo; and by one grandson, Darrell Walker

Mr. Lerzo was a merchant marine and he attended Trinity Christian Church at Davis Creek.

Survivors include his wife, Edaniah M. of Quinland; sons and a daughter-in-law, Don Jamie Lerzo of Quinland and Tony Paul and Melissa Larzo of Turtle Creek; daughter and son-in-law, Terri Ann and Terry Walker of Alum Creek; grandchildren, Mark Allen Walker and wife, Kelly, Sheena Abbassi and Domenick Larzo; and great-granddaughter, Kelsey Ann Walker.

Funeral service was 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 19, at Trinity Christian Church at Davis Creek with Pastor Terry Walker and Bob Haynes officiating. Burial was in Danville Memorial Park.

Stevens Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Vera H. Gore, 75, of Quinland died March 8, 2004, at the home of her son, Charles Jr. at Robinson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Gore and son, Danny Gore.

She was a homemaker and a former owner of Gore Grocery, Quinland.

Surviving: daughters, Sherry (Eddie) Dials of Robinson, Sandy Mooney of Ellis Fork and her fiance Donald Yates; sons, Larry Gore of Quinland, Charles Jr. (Ronna) of Robinson; brother, Jimmy Lerzo of Quinland; grandchildren, Cindy Woodie of Van, Bubby Daniels of Robinson, John Daniels of NC, Melissa Pauley of Putnam County, Christopher and Cody Gore of Robinson; great-grandchildren, Cory Woodie, Summer Dempsey, Jacob Dempsey, Jonathan Daniels and Luke Pauley.

Service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Handley funeral home with the Rev. Ray Barker and the Rev. Terry Walker officiating.

Burial will follow in Danville Memorial park. Friends may call from 6-9 Wednesday at the funeral home.
