The Friends of J. H. Ryan are plunged in deep mourning over his rather sudden death, which occurred at 2 o'clock a. m. Monday, October 24th. Mr. Ryan was a young man much respected. Last spring he went with his brothers to Iowa, where he was taken sick with malaria fever, from which he suffered nearly six weeks. He returned to his home here in the village some time in September, and two weeks ago he was again seized with the fever which terminated in his death.
