Variant and careless spellings were rampant during their lifetimes. They were married to each other and both were born in Canada to French-speaking parents. The two of them were married in 1858 in DePere, had their first child, Clara in 1859 and lived the rest of their lives there. David was buried in Mt.Calvary Cemetery.
