Samuel ‘Bruce’ West was born in 1864 in Crawfordsville, Montgomery County, Indiana and died July 22, 1953 in Bremerton, Kitsap County, Washington after living with his daughter Marie for 6 years; he married Lillian Ainsley Fraley who was born August 14, 1870 in Albion, Marshall County, Iowa and died July 1948 in Wenatchee, Douglas County, Washington; they married January 25, 1891 in Montgomery County, Indiana.

Bruce and Lillian had 3 children, 2 died in infancy:
1) Marie West was born May 23, 1902 in Crawfordsville, Montgomery County, Indiana; she married Foster Tracy of Bremerton, Kitsap County, Washington. Her father Bruce West was with her when he died in 1953.
