Seek descendants of Amasa Ellis (1753-1815?) and
his wife Content Salisbury. Amasa b. Sturbridge, MA, son of Reuben Ellis and Sarah (Newell) Martin.
Reuben & family moved to Shaftsbury in early 1770's, where he & sons Amasa, Moses, & Reuben Jr.
served in the VT Militia in Rev. War. Amasa & Content moved to Stephentown, NY by 1800 census.
I believe they moved to Cortland, NY where Amasa
died abt. 1814/15 & Content died abt. 1829. She
may have left a Probate record listing her sons
Eli/Elijah, Nathan, Aaron, Edmund. Any info.
