Wilfred Shepperson Smith was my grandfather. He died in the 1970's and is buried in Dover, TN with the family of his third wife. He was married 3 times. The first one, we don't know about, but it's rumored he had a child, who would now be around 65 yrs old. Him and his second wife (Beatrice) had 4 children: Wifred Dale (died in 1997), Gerald Brent (currently in Lewisburg, TN) and twin daughters, Brenda Gay Russell of Murfreesboro, and Linda Kay Smith of Shelbyville, TN. His third wife was named Pauline. She spent her final days in a nursing home in Dover, TN. They also had at least 2 children. It is also rumored that either Wilfred's 1st wife or his parents were part Cherokee Indian or something like that. I am in contact with all the children listed for Beatrice, but none of us have any background on Wilfred Shepperson Smith. We know he lived in Clarksville before moving to Dover. Any info. will be helpful.
