I am looking for the father of George Washington Nance born 1870 in AR, or TN. The mother was C.I. Nance listed in the 1880 census for Independence County ,AR with three children no father. They lived in Batesville for 20 years and then moved on to Cason TX in 1900 and remained there. I need to know what the C.I. stood for and also there was a divorce with this C.I and her husband probably around 1879-1880. Can anyone help. Thanks eileen
