Hello,
I am trying to locate others who are researching the Thompson line from Prosperity. My ggg grandfather Joseph Thompson and his brother George found their way to Marengo Co. AL. Joseph married Harriet Johnson and George married Druscilla Knight.
Joseph was born in 1803 and I don't know for sure who his parents were.
It's likely that Joseph followed his brother George to AL. Joseph opened a business and bought land in Sumter Co. AL and died in Lauderdale Co. MS before 1870. All is proven from Joseph to me and I am in the process of gathering and assembling official documents of Joseph's journey from Prosperity to AL. Any information would be much appreciated!
Joseph's father is thought to be Charles whose father is thought to be either William or Abraham. The last bit is what I gathered from the internet and the information is similar but obviously different from each other. Sources are not listed and I need help. Thank you!
