I am searching for more information on my great grandfather and his parents.
Leo Elsworth Crawford born Dec 5, 1881 in Harrisburg, PA. He married Myrl Frank Nov 1904 and had the following children, Amy (1905), Florence (1906), Margaret (1916), Elwood, (1920), and Cleo (1925). He lived in Harrisburg from the birth until 1908 when he moved to CA. He was a shoemaker. Leo was a WW1 veteran, 166th Infantry and is buried in Golden Gate Cemetery, San Mateo Co, CA.
His parents were Benneville W. and Margaret (Elizabeth) Crawford. Benneville was born abt 1846 in PA, his father born PA, mother born in Scotland. Benneville was listed as Peter Crawford on 1880 census living in Harrisburg 1t 1917 N 7th,
working as shoemaker. He died bef 1934.
Margaret was listed as Elizabeth on Leo's marraige certificate,and living in Chambersburg, Franklin Co., PA in 1934 (widow). She was born in Indiana.
The 1880 census listed Benneville and Margaret children: Amy, Marion, Oscar, Laura, Valentine. A Marion Crawford was found living in Harrisburg in 1900, working as shoemaker. He was listed as a boarder living on Mulberry and married for less than a year. His wife was not listed.
