James Young was b in PA abt. 1800 and married Mary HAMMOND/HAMMON, also b in PA abt. 1800. Their son, William, was born in Canonsburg Borough, Washington Co., PA in 1827. I have no other information on James and Mary, but would appreciate any assistance.

Their son, William married Mary Ann MARSHALL b 1830 d/o William and Nancy MURPHY MARSHALL, around 1845. Their first child, Elizabeth was born 1846. They had 7 more children. William was a shoemaker according to the 1850 census. The whole family left Washington Co., PA to Iowa around 1870.

I have good info on William and Mary Ann's descendents and would love to share.
