Hello my name is Rodney Halaquist and am on quest to track back in history as far back as I can. My Grandfathers name is Frank Holoquist (deceased), he was married to a Helen Burkey (also deceased) as what we know Frank's mothers name was Anna Stella born in Poland around Oct. 1879. The story of the different spelling is a puzzle... Franks brother took the spelling of Halaquist. Rumor has it that the name used to be lot longer and even a possibility that it started with an "O".
