Maxine Dietzen, 81, of Medford, died Monday (July 1, 2002) at her home. A private service will be held.

Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.

She was born Maxine Haas on Jan. 20, 1921, in Saarbruecken, Germany. On May 18, 1940, in Germany, she married Peter Dietzen, who survives. They moved to the Rogue Valley in 1992 from Foster City, Calif.

Mrs. Dietzen was a homemaker.

She was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church.

Mrs. Dietzen enjoyed stamps and photo albums.

Survivors, in addition to her husband, include two sons, Peter, Binghamton, N.Y., and Bernard, El Cajon, Calif.; two sisters, Roswitha Tiedeman and Erna Groh, both in Germany; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
