Elda Mae Bean, 77, of Pahrump, Nev., formerly of Medford, died June 26, 2002, in Manteca, Calif. The graveside service was held July 3 at Chief Tecopa Cemetery in Pahrump, Nev.

She was born May 31, 1925, in Torrey, Utah. She had lived in Pahrump, Nev., since 1993.

Ms. Bean was the retired owner of the Mecca Club in Amargosa Valley, Nev. She lived in Medford in 1957 and returned each summer.

Survivors include seven sons, Eddie Burleigh and Jimmy Burleigh, both Central Point, Robin Gardner, Stevie Burleigh and Val Burleigh, all Pahrump, Nev., Danny Gardner-Burleigh, Manteca, Calif., and Tommy Burleigh, Salt Lake City; a daughter, Desiree Grisham, Butte Falls; a brother, Leland H. Thiede, Carson City, Nev.; and 27 grandchildren.
