A funeral Mass for Ellen "Nellie" Barry will be at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with the Rev. Anthony Grenville officiating.

Mrs. Barry, 97, of Medford, died Wednesday (June 26, 2002) at Waterford at Three Fountains Nursing Home.

Contributions may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, care of Rogue Valley Medical Center, 2825 Barnett Road, Medford, OR 97504.

She was born July 2, 1904, in Scarteen, New Market, Ireland, to Patrick and Nora Hallinan. She married John O’Neil Barry, who died in 1989.

She was a lifelong active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

She loved traveling, spending time with friends and growing red roses in her garden.

Survivors include a brother, John Hallinan, Ireland, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers.

Friends may pay their respects from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Monday at Perl Funeral Home. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m.
