The memorial service for Catherine Miller will be at noon Monday, at Butte Creek Baptist Church in Eagle Point. Pastor Ed Graham and Assistant Pastor Chris Naranjo will officiate. Interment will be at 2 p.m. in Eagle Point National Cemetery.
Mrs. Miller, 80, of Eagle Point, died Tuesday (July 9, 2002) at a Medford foster care facility.

She was born Catherine Johnson on Dec. 28, 1941, in Sturgis, S.D. She was the youngest of nine children born to Barnett and Mary Isabelle Hazeltine Johnson.
She married Carl Miller on Dec. 28, 1941, in Sturgis, after which the couple moved to Newcastle, Wyo. They eventually moved to Southern California, where they lived for more than 30 years. The Millers moved to the Rogue Valley in 1996 from Prescott, Ariz.
While living in Arizona and Southern California, Mrs. Miller served on the Mission Board at the Evangelical Free Church. She was also a member of the Gideon Ministry and an Auxiliary member since 1960.
Mrs. Miller was a member of the Butte Creek Baptist Church in Eagle Point. She enjoyed cooking and listening to music.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include four sons, Kenneth, Reno, Nev., Glenn, Medford, Charles, Fallbrook, Calif., and Maurice, Vancouver, Wash.; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters.
