Born March 21, 1922, in Pittsburgh, Pa., he married Virginia Callahan on Oct. 14, 1942, in Pittsburgh. They moved to the Rogue Valley from Southern California in 1995.
A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he worked as an electrician for the Xerox Corp. before retiring.
He was a member of the Medford Moose Lodge and the Elks Club in Grants Pass. He enjoyed camping, fishing and traveling in recreational vehicles.
In addition to his wife, survivors include three sons, James T., Richard J. and Raymond A., all of California; three daughters, Patricia Snow, Applegate, Christine Smietana, Central Point, and Judith Sollers, California; a sister, Virginia Means, of Pennsylvania; a brother, Art, of Lake Isabella, Calif.; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Lucas, in 1977.
