Graveside services for Shirley Ann Auten will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Siskiyou Memorial Park.

Mrs. Auten, 64, of Rogue River, died Tuesday in an automobile accident on Interstate 5.
She was born Shirley Ann Simpson on June 27, 1938, in Long Branch, N.J., to David and Wini Simpson. She married Vern Auten 46 years ago. They moved to the Rogue Valley from California in 1992.
She was a member of the California Horse Racing Association. She enjoyed antiques, her three dogs and being with family.
In addition to her husband, survivors include two daughters, JoAnn Roberts, Rogue River, and Lori Austin, Central Point; two sons, Vernon Jr., Central Point, and Allen, of California; a sister, Barbara Child of Glendora, Calif.; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
