A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 6, 2002, in Ross Hollywood Chapel for Fred Moser, who died July 1 at age 92.
Mr. Moser was born Jan. 30, 1910, in Bern, Switzerland, immigrated to Missouri as a child and moved to Scotts Mills as a teen-ager. He moved to Portland in the 1930s, where he was an ironworker for A. Young & Sons and was one of the organizers of Local 516. In 1945, he married Alice Gleason; she died in 1989.
Survivors include his daughters, Ann Frainey, Beth Sulzle and Carol Martin; brother, Ed; sisters, Bertha Smeltzer, Helen Lightner and Trudy Sparks; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
